Grant details

Geographic focus

England only.

Current priorities

Supporting organisations that are investment-ready or nearly investment-ready. The fund prioritises charities and social enterprises with a specific investment goal (rather than general capacity building) and a social investor who has already identified missing information preventing an investment offer.

Typical award

£5,000 to £15,000 per grant.

How to apply

Contact an Access Point to discuss your organisation and investment plans. If they agree the Reach Fund could support you, they will provide the application form. Work with the Access Point to develop your investment readiness plan identifying the support needed. Submit the application through the Access Point, who will review it and may request additional information before submitting it along with their assessment. Social Investment Business then assesses the application and carries out checks.

What makes a strong application

A strong application demonstrates you are close to raising repayable finance, have identified a specific social investor who wants to invest but needs additional information, have a clear investment goal with a realistic timeline (6–12 months), and have good governance structures in place. Work closely with your Access Point to develop a clear investment readiness plan that addresses the specific gaps identified by your potential investor.

Tips

You cannot apply directly — you must work with an Access Point (an approved social investor) who can refer you. Contact the Reach Team before applying if you are unsure about eligibility; use 'Reach Enquiry' as your email subject. Being clear about what information your potential investor needs will strengthen your application.
